Privacy Policy

ScratchWolf ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. ScratchWolf does not require an account — you can use the app without ever telling us who you are.

1. Information We Collect

• Device push token — collected only when you enable notifications, used solely to send prize alerts relevant to your home state. Stored on our servers and never sold.
• Home state preference — stored locally on your device and used to filter the data shown in the app.
• Usage analytics — we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used (screens viewed, events tapped). This data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
• Crash and error reports — we use Sentry to receive crash reports when the app encounters an error (device model, operating system version, and the technical details of the error). These reports contain no name, email, or account information.
• Subscription status — if you subscribe to Premium, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. Our subscription provider (RevenueCat) assigns an anonymous identifier and tells us only whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Your name, email address, or account credentials — the app has no accounts
• Your precise GPS location (we request location only to auto-detect your state during onboarding; the result is stored locally and raw coordinates are never sent to our servers)
• Your lottery purchase history or spending habits

3. How We Use Information

• To send push notifications about prize changes in your state (only if you opt in)
• To understand which features are useful and improve the app
• To find and fix crashes and errors
• To provide Premium features to active subscribers

4. Advertising

The free version of ScratchWolf shows ads served by Google AdMob. Premium subscribers see no ads.

• Consent: where required by law (for example the EEA, UK, and certain U.S. states), we show a consent form before any ads are requested. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time in Settings → Manage Ad Privacy.
• iOS App Tracking Transparency: on iOS we ask your permission before any cross-app tracking identifier is used. If you decline (or until you decide), ads are non-personalized.
• What ad partners receive: Google may collect device identifiers and interaction data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's partner policy.
• We never share your state preference, favorites, or in-app activity with advertisers.

5. Service Providers

We share data only with the processors needed to run the app: Google Firebase (analytics), Google AdMob (advertising), Sentry (crash reporting), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Expo (push notification delivery). Each receives only the minimum described above and may not use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service.

6. Your Rights

• You may disable notifications at any time in the app or system settings — this deletes the need for, and future use of, your push token.
• You may withdraw ad-consent choices in Settings → Manage Ad Privacy.
• Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" as those laws define it. Because the app has no accounts, the data we could link to you is minimal — but you can exercise any of these rights by emailing us.

7. Children

ScratchWolf is intended for adults 18 years or older (19+/21+ where local law requires) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Data Retention & Security

Push tokens are kept only while notifications are enabled and are removed when they become invalid. Analytics and crash data are retained per our providers' standard retention periods. All server communication is encrypted in transit.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
